COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 7 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage technologies 2GS Trading uses on www.2gs-trading.com (the "Platform"), why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how a site is used. "Local storage" works similarly — it lets a website store small pieces of data directly in your browser.

2. The Cookies and Storage We Use

We keep our use of cookies and browser storage to a minimum. The table below lists everything we currently use:

NameTypeCategoryPurpose
sb-*-auth-tokenSession CookieStrictly NecessarySet by Supabase, our authentication provider. Keeps you signed in. Required for the Platform to function — cannot be disabled.
2gs_welcome_seenLocal StorageStrictly NecessaryRemembers that you have seen the dashboard welcome modal after your first login. Contains no personal data.
_ga, _ga_*, _gidAnalytics CookieAnalyticsSet by Google Analytics. Used to distinguish visitors and measure page views and traffic sources in aggregate, so we can understand and improve the Platform.

In addition, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights collect anonymised page-view and performance data without setting any cookies.

3. Categories We Use

  • Strictly necessary: Required for the Platform to operate — for example, keeping you signed in. These cannot be switched off, as the Platform will not work correctly without them.
  • Analytics / performance: Help us understand how visitors use the Platform in aggregate, so we can improve it. These do not identify you personally.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing cookies, or any cookie that tracks your behaviour across other websites.

4. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings — including viewing what cookies are stored, deleting them individually or entirely, and blocking cookies from particular or all websites.

  • Blocking the strictly necessary sb-*-auth-token cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to your dashboard.
  • Blocking the Google Analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform — it only stops anonymised analytics data from being collected for your visit.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Clearing your browser's local storage will remove the welcome-modal flag and may cause the modal to reappear on your next visit.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new tool or analytics provider. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
